A Thief In The Night

When Jesus said that He would come as a thief in the night, he gave a very good image of what the job would entail.

1- Jesus is the thief.
2- The thief comes to rob.
3- The owner/custodian must be asleep for the thief to rob the building.
4- It would be an excellent job if the owner/custodian did not wake-up at all during the robbing process.
5- The items being robbed are people (Christians.)  Yes, it is a JAILBREAK.

Jesus is the thief

The THIEF must therefore:

a.- Keep the plan secret, so the owner/custodian of the building would not be forewarned.
b.- Use a novel method of robbing a building, not the usual break-through entries (doors or windows.)
c.- Give the prisoners (Christians) a few hints of when the jailbreak is going to be -- without telling the plan.
d.- Do a quick job of getting in and out.

God is coming to take you away, to kidnap you, to snatch you away.  Jesus is the thief that comes in the night when the master of the house (Satan) does not expect it.  God CANNOT tell you when He is coming for the rapture, because He cannot let the Devil know about His plan -- the element of surprise would be lost.

When Jesus described the way in which He would do the rapture, He literally said:

Satan is the owner of the house.

Matthew 24:43 "But know this, that if the owner of the house (Oikos despotes) had perceived in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have let his house to be burrowed/tunneled under (diorugenai)." You may also read the story in Luke 12.

Satan, the present ruler of this Earth, has been confined to this planet after he lost the war in heaven. Jesus refers to him in Matthew 24  as "Oikos Despotes," which in the original Greek means "The Owner of the Building."

The original word in Greek for tunneling is "diorugenai," which means "to dig through" or "tunnel under."  Therefore, Satan must NOT be allowed to perceive neither the METHOD nor the DAY of the jailbreak.  As we speak, God is burrowing, and the Oikos Despotes does not expect what is coming. He does not realize he is already tunneled under.

In the time of Jesus, most houses had a dirt floor, or small stone tiles laid over the dirt.  It would be very easy to make a hole through the dirt floor / small tiles when digging from an already made tunnel.  Tunneling under has the advantage of not tripping any alarms, not having to break any windows, doors, or other "usual" modes of entry.

This is like when somebody wants to steal the safety deposit box in a bank.  They do it at night, when nobody is watching, and they bore a hole from the bottom, in order not to alert security.  In the morning, when the bankers open the vault ... it is empty.  Or similar to when they dig a tunnel under a jail to break someone out of prison. They start the tunnel far away from the prison; this requires a lot of time, but eventually the tunnel is under the right place of the building, and then.... it is just an in and out escape through the tunnel. As the prisoners leave, the supports of the tunnel are knocked out, and the tunnel crashes behind the escaping party.

Similarly, God tunnels under the house instead of breaking a window or forcing the door, which would alert the owner of the house.  It has taken God a long time to plan the "robbery," as it usually takes a thief.  But master thieves do not rob very often, they just rob quality jewels or other precious gems -- items that are small, light in weight and have very high value.  In that way, the thief can make a quick exit out of the mansion.  Similarly, the prisoners waiting for the "thief" have waited a long time.  The other inmates (non-Christians) are ridiculing them when they refer to the idea that there is a person (God) planning a jailbreak for them.  But the thief in the night is coming, and He has given the inmates some clues to know when the jailbreak will be.

That the prisoners need to do a fast exit out of "jail" is of utmost importance.  Jesus mentions this in several passages and with several illustrations:

Revelation 16:15 "Behold, I come like a thief! Blessed is he who stays awake and keeps his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed."

1- Therefore, there is no time to waste. Sleep with your clothes on.

Luke 17:31 "In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back."

2- There is no time to waste.  You cannot go back to get supplies.

Luke12:40 "Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when you do not suppose he will."

Matthew 25:13 "Watch therefore, for ye are not aware of neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh."

This last quote is from the parable of the 10 virgins.  Again the word is "you are not aware."  The emphasis is that it is at a time that does not seem likely.

a- Five virgins made it because they were ready.

b- Five virgins did NOT make it because they went to get extra supplies, and the door was closed when they came back -- the escape tunnel was already collapsed.

God takes approximately half the virgins. Another clarification: the olive oil is NOT the holy spirit.  There is no price for the holy spirit; the holy spirit CANNOT be bought.

Luke 17:26-27 "just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all."

This shows people were not aware in the days of Noah and they are not aware now of what is coming. There are some so called Christians that do not even believe in the rapture. As a result, they are NOT going to be ready when the rapture occurs.

3- Jesus comes at a time when He is not expected.  He is using the element of surprise, and He cannot wait around for people who are not ready; when you are told to go, you got to go. Any raid is fast.

Once he is alerted, the Devil is going to try to prevent the jailbreak, but he fails.

The Oikos Despotes is furious after he sees he is missing people. He then attacks the left over Christians - the unwise virgins. Probably implanting people will become mandatory in order to track them at all times -- to prevent them from being stolen in a future rapture.

Governments are going to say it is an alien abduction.  Scientists will back up the idea of the Mark of the Beast to  prevent people from being taken by "the aliens."

Those who do not believe in the rapture, do not believe in the thief in the night, but we are sure Jesus is coming as He said He would.  So get ready, because the tunnel is already finished for the jailbreak.
